The 2010 Air Race Classic's theme is "100 Years of Licensed Women Pilots"

Air Race Classic 2010In 1929, twenty pilots raced from Santa Monica, CA to Cleveland, OH, site of the National Air Races in the first ever U.S. female air race called, at the time, the Women’s Air Derby and later renamed, the Powder Puff Derby. That tradition continues today with the Air Race Classic.

This year, the race will start on June 22nd in Fort Myers, FL and end 2158 NM later on June 25th in Frederick, MD. Stopovers events will be centered around the "100 Years of Licensed Women Pilots" theme. The registration deadline is April 15, 2010.
